I have been using
Google's AdSense since Nov. 2005. So far I am very pleased with the
results. My web sites are generating a nice income in the mid x,xxx
range per month. And it's growing. Is it difficult? Yes and no. I am a web
designer/programmer so I know my way around the web. I have bought pretty
well every AdSense "guru" manual there is, and I am learning along the
way.
One AdSense Google trick
that you must know is to play by the rules. I can see how easy it would be
to set up sites that violates Google's rules.
AdSense Click Fraud
There are two thoughts on
how to set up a reasonable income stream using AdSense. One is to have one
or two mega-sites, the other is to have multiple smaller sites. I chose to
have many separate sites. Why depend on one site? AdSense earnings
come from ad clicks. Volume counts.

I also plugged AdSense
in to my existing sites, sites I have had for years (like this one) and it
worked immediately. Because I was getting traffic already. But then I set
up a couple of new sites, and within weeks they produced AdSense income.
For example, Control
High Blood Pressure and Cholesterol started to produce almost
instantly. I have since added dozen of pages and the site is growing fast.
Other sites have not showed up yet. Maybe they will.
The trick? Content. And make
sure you use public domain content, or articles with re-publish rights.
And make sure you have unique content before the article and after.
The other AdSense Google
trick is to pick your keywords carefully. You want to be in the middle
of the pack. Overture searches around 1,000. MSN results around 1,000,000
or less. With ads paying cpc of $5-10 max. Then you have a chance. Also, I
pretty well ignore Google's search results. I use MSN/Yahoo as my SE
tools. They cover 45% of the search market, good enough for me.
